About Wrap Around

School Wraparound care

At Mill Mead, we offer a school breakfast club and an after-school club. This is open to all pupils from Nursery to year 6.

The club is run by Mr Morris our Wraparound care manager and other members of the school support staff.

Breakfast Club (7.30 to 8.45 am)

The breakfast club is open daily between 7.30 am and 8.45 am.

We offer a healthy, varied, nutritious breakfast that includes a selection of cereal, toast, crumpets, pastries, and fruit.

After breakfast, children have the opportunity to play outside or stay in the hall with a variety of resources before getting ready for the school day with a ‘wake up, shake up’ session.

At the end of the session, the children are then walked to their classroom and registered by the class teacher.

After School Club (3.15 to 6.00 pm)

Children can join after-school club from the end of the school day or after they have taken part in other extra-curricular clubs until 6.00 pm.

During after-school club, children can take part in supervised activities such as multi-sports, arts and crafts, and board games. Children can also spend time in the quiet atmosphere of our school library and have the opportunity to use the school iPads.

On arrival, children are offered a healthy drink and snack. Children who stay between 4.30 and 6.00 pm are provided with a light meal.
