Music at Mill Mead

Music is growing at Mill Mead. As well as piano lessons, we now have KS1 and KS2 Choirs rehearsing on a Monday after school. They will be performing throughout the year, including at times with musicians at Simon Balle as part of the Laurel Education Trust.

KS1 Choir is led by Mrs Barley on a Tuesday until 4pm.

KS2 Choir is led by Miss Hill on a Monday until 4pm.

There are exciting performance opportunities being planned for the Mill Mead Choirs.

Mill Mead Choirs are termly activities. Commitment is on a rolling basis as there are so many exciting opportunities and performances each term.

Brass Training Programme

We are launching our Brass Training Programme. Students can sign up for a 6 week project where they have an introduction on the JHorn, learning in groups, and helping to form our first Mill Mead Brass Band!

Mr Peach leads are amazing Brass Programme that is similar to the successful work we have achieved at Simon Balle.

At the end of the 6 weeks, students can sign up to continue in smaller groups, taking a music medal and then Grade 1.
